Incubation question....

kidcrazee82 Oct 26, 2004 05:19 PM

I have been told that Leo gecko eggs that are incubated at low temps turn out to be female most of the time. Is the same true with cresteds? If so what temps. will more likely make a male? or female?

While my own selection of hatchlings is too small for me to speak from personal experence.
I have read enough current posts from a great number of vetrens in breeding cresteds to say the following.

The current belief is that cresteds are not linked with incubation temps to determine sex.On a happier note it does appear that cresteds are a bit female heavy overall.in my case crested females have been runing 2 -1 over males.
