Sophie is 2yrs old and wants nothing to do with a cat or a dog but she wanted to pet Lucky. Sophie and family live on Grand Cayman, maybe if she is lucky her father can catch her a Lewisi. They stayed with us for a week or so after Ivan nearly destroyed the island. Speaking of Lewisi and Grand Cayman they could use our help, please check the link below. The Blue Iguana may be the most endangered lizard on the planet. A little off forum but thanks for looking.

I do a lot of educational presentations for grades K-3. I'm always amazed and pleased to see that most small children have no fear of reptiles, no matter how small or how big. I have to watch the younger children especially since they want to see the teeth and tongues and will poke at the mouth of the lizards and snakes. It makes me wonder how adults acquire their phobias for herps because it certainly doesn't seem to be a genetic problem.

Thanks for the plug for the Grand Cayman Blue Iguanas. The recovery program could certainly use some financial help, especially since Ivan took it's toll on the island. I have convinced a couple of herp societies that I belong to to make donations...could be a good project for other herp societies. These magnificent creatures deserve a chance.
