I have got an interesting and surprising insight yesterday from a well reputed journalist on german tv. He has good contacts to Chancellor Schröder.

Who do you think is the favourit of the German government:

Bush or Kerry?

And why?

Tell me your opinion and why you think it is so.

I will delivery my informations after you voted and reasoned your vote.

Because you say surprising Im going to have to say Bush. My guess is that if Bush is still President it takes pressure off of Germany to have to make any commitments to the fight against terrorism. I know you guys arent just standing around and have made some pretty big arrests but to be afilliated with the US right now is probably not in your best interest. If Bush is president, Germany still looks like they are doing the right thing to the rest of the world. If Kerry is president, everyone may have to rethink their positions. So, how far off base was that. LOL

Rumour has it that chancellor Schröder went pale when his counsellors told him that one of the first things Kerry would do if he becomes President is to invite Schröder and Chirac to the White House. He will announce a return to the former policy of cooperation and consens with friendly nations. Then he will request from Germany and France either a financial distribution or soldiers for Iraq.

It would be difficult to say no in this matter for either country.

But when Bush will be re-elected everything would remain the same and this will save Germany and France a lot of trouble.

(So the valuation of a well-known German Journalist) who is by the way married to a woman from the U.S.
