jungle corn question

mike17l Oct 26, 2004 09:32 PM

i was at petco today and they were selling some albino jungle corns as regular corn snakes for 49.99. is this a good price? they also had a female greyband that they thought was a desert king for 59.99. a buddy of mine plans on getting it tomorrow, as i have enough snakes and not enough money.

Depends on how the Jungle corn looks. $50 is GREAT price if it has some reds in it.
Now the greyband price is a little high for a non-locality specimen. However if the greyband is an adult that is a good price. Remember neonate greybands are reluctant feeders unless lizard scented mice are offered.

the salesmen know nothing, they are clueless. one guy told me that there were hybrids in the bunch, but he said they were hybrids with "common" corn snakes. he thinks that albino corns and "common" are different species and he knows nothing of simple genetics. normally i dont care, but people who work at a pet store and are not educated and make stuff up when they dont know the answer piss me off. the jungels in question apper to be jungels to me, i have had no experience with jungels, but have had plenty with pure corns. there is also what appears to be a creamsicle corn in the bunch, it has much more orange and has the typical creamsicle look, is 49.99 a good price for a cream? thanks for the help

If its a nice albino jungle/corn I think thats a great price . I myself would have bought it heehee.
I have been eyeing the albino jungle corns find them incredible. Going to inquire about their tempermeant. My Albino CA king is a biter(5 yrsold) and nervous imagine jungle corn calmer nicer looking to.
