A few posers....

NeoScales Oct 26, 2004 11:20 PM

Here's a few random pics from the past week or so. Nothing extraordinary about them, except the beautiful geckos in them...

This is our little sleeping red dragon "Combustible":

Sometimes they just look so regal:

Lastly is “Spotty”, lots of red with a lot of spots. Shooting this gecko on both black and white backgrounds demonstrates the reflective effects of both on the final image:

Thanks for looking everyone,

great pictures, you have a nice collection.

who did you go through for the reds if you dont mind me asking.

NeoScales Oct 27, 2004 10:27 AM

The three geckos in this thread come from different people. But the gecko in the first image was produced by Allen Repashy.

i like "spotty" a lot, i have been trying to find reds like that but i am having trouble locating them.

the one you got from Repashy is beautiful, i wasn't aware that he had those for sale, I have been to the Sandfire website a few times but never noticed anything like that.

Absolutely beautiful! What kind of camera do you use if you don't mind me asking. I am in the market to replace mine!
Thanks,
Suzanne

Randy, great pictures. I am really impressed.

What sort of camera are you using. I just picked up a dRebel off of Ebay and have been playing around with it a little. It goes well with raising geckos I guess!

By the way - outstanding geckos - esp. the top red-fire. It is almost electric!!!

Well I also shoot with the Canon 300D (Rebel), at least for mow. With proper lighting use and a quality lens, you can capture interesting images with that camera. I think this image is one example...

Fantastic pix, as usual! and as for pic #2, how could anyone NOT LOVE A FACE LIKE THAT??? Do you know what gender "Combustible" is? Aptly named, I might add.

"Combustible" is still too young for me to sex.

Thanks for the kind comments, I really hope to get some more interesting shots up soon.

Randy-

You are the reason I have spent the last week (I have only had them a week!) taking shot after shot of my Geckos. Not only are your animals beautiful, but your "eye" is as well.

Thank you.
