the way i control temps is i take heat lamps place them over top the cages and adjust the wattage of bulb in the heatlamp until i get my temps to stay constant this probably isnt the most effective way of keeping temps correct but all my in tank thermometers always stay at the right temps so i guess this method is working ok for humidity i just use large water bowls and do a daily misting i have had no health problems out of any of my snakes using these methods but some of the species of snakes that i have in my collection i have never kept before i researched them before i bought them and they are healthy animals but i have had bad luck with a few breeding attempts for example my first attempt at breeding riverside rosys resulted in her dropping 6 slugs and nothing alive so any help coming up with more efficiant cages would help thanks
