Question about Reptomin. Help if you can please.

SlipKorn Jun 29, 2003 03:24 PM

Does Reptomin get stale or go bad in anyway? If it does then how long does it take? I'm planning on buying a pretty good bit of it and I want to know how long it will last. The store I get it from often sells out of it and it takes a while for them to restock it. They just got a new shipment and I was planning to buy most of it. Thanks.

I think I've kept Reptomin for a few months and nothing went wrong. I keep it at whatever room temperature is but away from the sun. If you plan on buying more then 6 month supply.. well maybe think again since that's a lot of food. Sometimes turtles change their tastes as well.. I say buy it month/s at a time rather then bulk up

You can put a good amount of the pellets in a ziplock bag and keep it in the freezer. This will increase its shelf life. It should be good out in room temperature for at least a year. (I e-mailed the same question to the tetra company and that is what they told me).
