I finally figured out how to post a pic, so now I'm going to ask my question. What is this white/grey stuff on the shell? It's a healthy turtle eats, swims, etc. Any help is appreciated.

Well I couldn't really tell from the picture but i'm guessing molt. Your turtle is probably just molting or "sheading." watch for a week or so and see if it clears up. Turtles have to shed too and it usually comes off in little whiteish flakes and floats around in your tank until you filter gets it.

Yep, just looks like his scutes are shedding, mine is doing that too. I cleaned the tank the other day and found lots of scutes down between the river rocks.
