Can anyone name the top 10 or 5 best pythons to keep.

Well, it depends on what you want in a snake. It's partly practicality as you know (giant snakes like retics and burms taking up incredible amounts of room and eating alot). But it's mostly personal preference. Ball pythons tend to be cute, an easy size and docile. Jungle carpet pythons have a gorgeous black and yellow coloration and tend to be even tempered and a managable but handsome size. And if you're looking for sheer beauty, there are the Green tree pythons and what knocks my socks off personally are the scub pythons, with slender build, iridescent pointed scales, and casual easy power. (when I get appropriate resources and experience I'll search for a CB aru scrub... one of the smaller subspecies)
So, basically to pick the best snake to keep, decide what your priorities are, temperment, size, color etc, search, ask questions and research a bit and you're sure to find a darn fine snake that fits most or all of them.
