Need Help Identifying Morph, please respond

Triad Oct 27, 2004 05:07 PM

Ok I saw this leo today.

It had some spots on its back like a regular morph would. But not that much. There were spots that formed a circle.

It was also orange in coloration. White tail with carrot orange coloring on the top part of the tail where it joins the body.

Could someone please help id the morph of this gecko for me?

I was thinking of getting it also.

Interesting.. Too bad we couldn't see a picture of the gecko because just because there's some orange it's tail that doesn't mean it's a Carrot Tail. Sounds like a Tangerine Circle Back. It's really difficult to label without a picture though. Keep us posted on whether you buy it or not and a little picture too(If you buy it).

I'm going to go back tomorrow because I need to buy crix.

I'll take a picture then with a digital camera. Maybe I'll buy it.

It says baby but it looks to be about 3-6 inches in length.

I want it. The pet store is selling it for $20 but I know the owner and I know they treat their animals good so.

Sounds good. Some Pet Stores might not let you take a camera in and snap some pictures so watch out, lol.

They won't see it.

Plus the fact there are very few workers there. If they do see it I'll tell them I'm thinking of buying him/her and would just like to take a picture of him/her and see if I can have it sexed.

My mom's biggest worry is that it'll be another female, which is fine because it's not like I plan on breeding my gecko.

You could ask to hold it and check the underside to sex it. Males will have anal pores, they are like a line of orangey yellow dots on the lower belly. Mines a boy so i'd know. If it's immature the how bumps under that tail probably won't work so maybe this will.

I'm still going to take the photo. I want to know what the morph is before I make a decision to buy it or not.

I have an extra tank downstairs, 10 gallon's enough for a baby, right?

Then I could just put tile in for it's enclosure as well.

I use a 10 gallon for my full grown and he seems just fine in it. So it should be plenty.

Here's the pic I promised. For anyone that it's sure if it's a boy or a girl, this is a boy. I pointed out the anal pores which are only seen on boys, it's a arrow shaped set of pores. Also you can see the buldges below the tail.

Thanks. I hope the one I'm looking at is a female. It'd be cool. I gotta go home and check Kalypso also since I now know what to do.

I guess I'll just go home and then bring the dig cam back with me or something.

I gotta figure it out still.
