Suggestions &/or info.

I want a boa but one that doesn't grow to large. I was thinking of a Dumerils boa but would also like to know any other snakes that would fit this criteria. 3-6ft tame very well, and take frozen/thawed mice easily, and to expensive.

Thank you

There are many that fit your criteria, you have Hog Islands, Solomon Islands, Rosey Boas, Sand Boas, Rainbows are good but hit your 6ft mark, all of these are good choices. I would suggest that you do a little research on these to determine what might be a good choice for you and your keeping knowledge. Btw a Dumerils will get quite a bit larger than you are looking for. Just a few suggestions.

My advice would be to get a Hog Island boa. They are very nice looking animals with a unique personality. The are good feeders...unlike some dumerils, that can go off feed for some time. They max out at 6 feet, but most are 4-5 feet. Hope this helps. Andy Federico

I would say Nicaraguan, I had a breeder male that was 3.5 ft. beatiful and tame. My nic males always went off feed during breeding season but I think they make great first boas.
