iv looked and looked and looked, and couldnt find it any where. what is everything i need for breeding beardies?!?! i kno i kno, your ganna say its alot of resposablity, right? and theres alot of baibes and they eat so much, and so on and so on. i breed alot of other reptiles, and ive been doing it for a long time. so yeah i am ready. i just need to know what i need to do it. i wont do it till next year, but id still like to kno to be ready.

There is plenty of information about breeding bearded dragons in this forum (just have to do a search or read quite a few pages to find them all). Also, many of the sponsor webpages have great caresheets that also include breeding information.

As for what you need to breed dragons, here is a list (it isn't a comprehensive list as I could be missing something but deffinitely everything I can think off).

Money. (to buy supplies, food, vet checks, multi-vitamins etc)
Tanks (or rubbermade containers, lots of them)
Lightening (basking and UVB bulbs and fixtures)
Paper towel
Basking rocks and other cage furniture
Large tubs for crickets
Reliable suppliers of crickets
Incubator(s)
Incubation medium (ie vermiculite and/or soil)
Egg laying containers and medium (vermiculite and soil)
Calcium

Shipper information
Shipping containers (if you plan to ship babies you sell)

One adult male bearded dragon
One adult (15 month old, minimum, 18 month ideal) female bearded dragon.

Thermostate and thermometers to ensure temps are alright in all the tanks, the incubator etc.

Time.

Oh and money again. Once the initial expense of getting tanks and stuff for all the babies your next biggest expense is food. Keep in mind that 20 healthy baby bearded dragons can easily eat 1000 crickets a day. (thats 3 meals of about 16 crickets each meal per dragon). Also, a single bearded dragon female doens't just have one clutch a year, they can have as much as 6 clutches, spaced about a month apart, which means you will have overlaps of clutches hatching. You could have as much as 3 different age groups to house and feed.

I have to agree I just finished selling off all but 2 of the 56 hatchlings I hatched out this year. It is alot of work, especially the feeding part, because if you don't feed them enough there is a good chance they will see their smaller siblings as food and try to eat them or their tails and toes. For 56 hatchlings (3 clutches of eggs) for 4 months I went throught 6,000-10,000 crickets and 2,000 crickets a month for my adult dragons and the other reptiles I own. One other thing to also think of is your power bill, mine went up $45-$50 a month. I think basicaly for the month in total I spent $1,000 - $1,300 and made $1,000 which went back in for next year and any upgrades. Hope this helps and gives you an idea of whats involved in breeding bearded dragons.

read my first post. i kno all that stuff aready. i need to know about the egg nest. look at my list of animals. i breed them all cept the breardeis. ill say it again, i know about the power, and the food, and space and the lighting(common sence). i kno all that stuff. i just need the exact things for breeding.
