I am considering adding a beardie or rankins dragon to my family. Does anyone know of any good books or websites I should check out? I currently have "the bearded dragon manual" but I'm craving more.

The Bearded Dragon Manual is a good place to start but a lot of the info in it is out of date. I'd check breeders websites and look at their care sheets as they tend to stay more current. Go ahead and start with mine (the link is in my sig), Dragons Den, Dragons By Nature, BeardieDragon, Dachiu, etc. all have them also. Also read the boards, most any question you have has probably been asked at some point so read through the back logs on the boards and you'll learn a lot. Most importantly, don't trust any 1 answer or persons opinion. Read as much as you can and form your own judgement based on as many sources as you can.

Informationa bout Rankins dragons may be a bit more scarce, but doing a search for rankins or lawson's dragon would bring up all the past posts about them here on the bearded dragon forum. A web search may also show caresheets as well. The general care of Rankin's is the same for other bearded dragons, the only real difference is Rankin's dragons are much smaller (growing to 12-14" I beleive)and their appearance.

There are a couple other books out there that I found quite useful, one is "Your Bearded Dragon's Life' or something like that. Unfortunately I can't remember the author but do a search on amazon.com or chapters.ca for bearded dragons and you should find that book and a couple others.
