Crested swollowed dirt already spit some up please help
Hopefully, it will clear it by itself.
You might want to squirt a little water in the mouth - but I would be VERY hesitant - and am not guaranteeing that it would work at all. I don't know if there's much you can do, except to let her try to clear it yourself.
Good luck

Why is there dirt in the cage in the first place? A gecko that young needs to be on paper towels.
And juveniles should be on a coarse sand (not dirt) like the Te-Rex Cali-Sand.
Jesse
she is talking about crested geckos not leopard geckos. try the rhacodactylus forum. And also, calci-sand isnt a good choice for leos.
Calci-Sand is a good choice for Leopard Geckos, one of the best.
You're wrong. Calci sand is not one of the best. It is one of the worst after crushed walnut shells. There are many better and safer choices. Such as paper towels, slate, newspaper, repti-carpet, and washed play-sand.
Josh
LOL Josh,
Most people who get a leopard gecko as a pet and a nice little tank to put it in arn't going to use paper towel, newspaper, slate, ect. And washed play sand is too thin for younger leopard geckos. They are going to want to make it look nice and pretty. Te-Rex Calci-Sand is coarse, it's easily digestible, less chance of impaction, and on top of that it offers an extra source of calcium to the gecko. So tell me, how are crushed walnut shells better than this?
Jesse
you misundertstood me. i said crushed walnut shells were one of the only things worse than calci-sand. Though the risk of impaction is low it is a higher risk with calci-sand than it is with the other possible substrates. i choose not to take that risk. I dont see why anyone wants to spend $10 on a bag of sand that barely can cover a 10 gallon cage. washed play sand is better than calci-sand and looks just as good.
He is doing better now I think I got out all of the dirt. I used a q-tip with some water to help clear it (thanks powergeckos). He was very dark and barely breathing when I found him. I'm sticking to paper towel from now on. I just put him in a spare plant tank (no fertilizers) while I was cleaning his. It was only for a half hour or so and there was no cricket in the cage so I don't know how it happened but he's light again, active, and breathing fine. I'm sorry I know it was the wrong forum for this but I know this is probably the most active one. Thank you for all your help and concern.
