Kestrel Oct 28, 2004 12:14 AM

We had our local expo last weekend.. And I bought back my male Ridleyi that I sold to a friend there last year. He was kind enough to hold this guy for oh, 7 months until the show came back around again. LOL. Boy has he GROWN! around 5.5ft now, in one single year.. sheesh! I sold 2 or 3 baby ridleyi for Ronda(NW herp), due to carrying the big guy around.. People were always asking "ooo what is that?!", so i'd point them to Ronda's table where she had babies for sale. lol. Anyhow, here's a few quick pics.. Still his good ol self..

Being held by an aquaintence...

Pic of him around the time I sold him last year, in a 10gal tank...

Sweet. That one's a looker. Say, how much do ridleyi normally go for, and about how big do they get?

As far as I'm concerned, they are the ultimate subspecies of the beauty snakes, but I doubt I'll be getting one for quite some time. They're just still too expensive for my tastes and I'm not sure if I'm ready for that snappy attitude.

But they sure are beautiful, and your snake is one of the better ones I've seen.

I had the privilege of seeing one in person this past weekend at a show. They're very beautiful ratsnakes. I could tell these guys like to move kind of fast when being held, or atleast this particular one did anyway. Thanks for the pics.
