Does your cage have a soak tub?

CaptainHook2 Oct 28, 2004 05:51 AM

I put a slop sink in my large cage for a soak tub. It only comes up about 4 inches, the rest is in the floor.

I hate it! My snake never uses it except to poop and it's incredibly difficult to clean as it's very difficult to remove and there's no water or drain in my basement.

Is it needed. I'm thinking of removing it permanently and installing floor heating where the hole is.

What are your thoughts?

I have never given any of my burms a vessel large enough to soak in as far as their enclosures go (not that they won't use it, but as you said, it is very difficult to keep adequately disinfected and clean). An occasional soak in a large plastic tub will suffice for most burms. You would be better off just keeping that space open as these snakes need lots of floor space.
