if you have a subscription to reptiles magazine or you can get your hands on old copies, in the march 2003, march 2004 they have excellent articles on tiger salamanders and other salamanders as well as the december 2003 issue has a very good article on various kinds of newts. If you have trouble getting those here are a few urls i found to be helpful:

older copies of reptiles magazines are usually available at various reptile shows. you can try getting them from www.mdreptilefarm.com
They carry all kinds of reptile and amphibian books and magazines and stuff...They are really good. Check out their website if you can't find those articles you might be able to get it from them.
