United we stand, divided we fall. I'm one of the folks that started this whole political discussion/mess. I've tried to start it with others and they refused to involve themselves. Some of us here are motivated to discuss, and that is a VERY HEALTHY THING. If one isn't willing to discuss their views, they don't get the thinking required to support what they believe is right. I use it, because I NEED it to help keep me able to support my views via discussion. That is what motivated me to start off this topic. I see there are others motivated and willing to discuss, and that is what we NEED. Maybe we still disagree on a small thing or two, but at least we saw where we agree, and WHY we agree on it. Maybe the small items each of us disagree on, will keep us studying and learning how better to support those ideas. Support them with LOGIC, HISTORY, DATA and a little common sense. Not name calling, insults and hotheaded-ness (all of which I've been guilty of too).
Anyways, that's how I see this topic. I'll be glad when this election is over, however, I recognize that this will come up again and again forever, and the less people discuss and support their beliefs and views, the less likely there will be any chance of remaining united in ANY way. United we stand, divided we fall. I believe the more deeply divided a country becomes, the closer in gets to falling (and I think history shows this). All just my opinion.

It's been good for me coming here and saying my peice. I've decided you're not as bad as I at first THOUGHT you were (because I didn't give up and go hide in MY corner where I KNOW I'm correct like members on both sides tend to do), hopefully that goes both ways. Whether you disagree with me or not, I'm glad to all of those that stayed involved.
