Easy Question

krestes Oct 28, 2004 03:29 PM

I have been reading this forum for a few weeks now and have noticed that people don't like glass tanks. I have two snakes, a BCI and a florida kingsnake. If not a tank, what do you keep a boa in then? It doesn't make sense for me to pay hundreds of dollars for a rack system.
Thank you,
KE

Just get one of the larger plastic cages from companies like Boahile Plastics, which in my opinion and experience is by far the best.
Here's the link... www.boaphile.com go to Cages

For a little more than $200 you can have an excellent, light weight, durable, modern, easy to clean, spacious 4 foot long plastic cage built by a master carpenter who happens to be one of the best boa breeders out there. Definately worth it in my opinion.. nothing to think about.
You can save only a few dollars with some other companies, but receive cages far lesser quality. Worst part is, you won't realize this initially.. it'll come to light some time down the road - when it's already too late.

Some other classic cage companies/styles for single cages are Vision Cages, Neodesha, and Freedom Breeder, among many others.

I use Boaphile and Barrs cages that are built just for reptiles, I recently got a large group of the Boaphile cages and I am very pleased with them.
Thanks

Reptariums are good if you have a humidy controlled room. They are inexpensive and you can get them very large. Check out LLLReptile.com
