washing/sifting sand

ravio11i Oct 28, 2004 04:19 PM

Hi everybody,
I have a question regarding sand... everything i've read has said to wash or sift the sand before it goes into the cage and i was just wondering what was teh best way to do this.
Thanks in advance,
Robert

buy washed /sterilized playsand?

seriously not really sure the best way to do it ... the idea though is that is reduces the amount of dust in the sand and sterilises it.

I always buy the pre washed and sifted sand. I have heard you can sift it with a window screen and wash it all with a hose. Sounds like way to much work for me.
