Is Fritzie Sick?

the_z_child Oct 28, 2004 04:30 PM

Hello All! This is my first time posting to this group. I have a
barking tree frog named Fritzie. Love him to death I'm wondering
how do you know if your frog is sick. Fritzie has had a few bouts of
mucas "strings" hanging out of his mouth. When we try to get it off
of him, a long string of mucus follows. Any advice?

Thanks,
Zima

Hello I am not a expert but I have seen this with my frog also I think that the frog is shedding and they do eat their old skin.

I don't believe he is sick really. I would just make sure to keep his habitat clean

Nope hes not sick, and let him eat his shedding. They are able to digest all the bacteria that have stuck to the mucus like skin.
