Exactly how often do they need to eat? (Crickets, fuzzies, veggies, etc) Also- do they hibernate in winter time? Ours are slowin down, becoming very melow, and are going to sleep earlier and earlier-
thanks!

depends on their age.
young beardies should be eating dustede crix every day with greens also being offered
as they get older they will eat less crix and more greens.. adult beardies only need live prey offered once or twice a week
as far as hibernation, I don't know as much about that since mine has never gone into brumation but beardies can and do brumate. probably take a look at the post a little down about brumation or do a search through the forum there is a lot of information on the subject

thanks for the reply!
i read those posts but what is the definition of brumation/ What exaclty is it?
Its a slow down period for bearded dragons, something like hibernation in mammals. Their metabolism slows drastically, even their heartrate etc slows down. They sleep deeper than normal through the day and night. Typcallly they wake up periodically for a few hours, sometimes they sleep straight through for weeks.
