Pics of new crested

supermogwai Oct 28, 2004 07:47 PM

Here's the new guy. He's got no tail--but he's got pretty nice colors, I think.

This doesnt really do the color much justice--my camera's not great--but he's really orange.

woops, here:

He's darling!

Is that a blaze on his head, or shedding or just the camera? I'm curious because a blaze would be really neat to see on a Crested.

He's got two sort of "chevron" like marks at the back of his head extending onto his neck. The retail place i bought him was selling him as a plain--but he's not--and they gave me a further discount because of the tail (despite the fact that they tend to drop them sooner or later anyways...) He seems in good health and is eating, but because i don't trust pet stores much having worked in a few, i'm quarantining him.

What is the white on his nose though? Am I seeing things?

supermogwai Oct 28, 2004 09:56 PM

Oh that, ha, sorry. No, that's just some shedding.

Ok, that's what I thought... wouldn't it be cool though if it was a blaze?

supermogwai Oct 31, 2004 06:47 AM

Yeah definitely. I suppose I could always paint one on with some liquid paper...

Just kidding.
