Taming a bearded dragon!!!!

Tumtum03 Jun 29, 2003 06:01 PM

I've had my little girl since she was born, and I hold her probably a couple times a week at least. She doesn't mind when I clean or anything in the cage which is good. But lately anymore shes mean and tries to bite and hiss all the time anymore when I try and pick her up. Now I have quite a few repties right now and I've owned all different kinds and I"ve never had this much trouble taming one. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to do this, is there something Im doing wrong??? Any comments from anyone I would greatly apprecaite. Shes such a beautiful animal, shes a red x gold hypo! I have also had other dragons, and they where all nice, could she be just a mean lizard???

i think that some are like this for no reason at all and no matter what you do they will always be a little jumpy. i had a lot more trouble with females than males. but u have to keep trying and keep handling. the longer the better.
