My box turtle laid an egg & then she ate it!!
Is this normal? Why did she do this? I never witnessed her do this in the past. The eggs I have seen her lay have all been infertile.
Thanks!

sounds like she's laying them ontop of the soil which means that 1) she has no place suitable to lay them and 2) she's stressed, I recomend reading about they're nesting habbits, as well as mating behaviour.
