On the Topic of Anti-Reptile Legislation in California

ectothermz... Oct 29, 2004 12:14 PM

With numerous posts, talk and concern over anti reptile laws being signed in by Governor's thoughout the United States, I would like to personally say that Californians have a fellow herper on the inside!

What is this you may ask, and how does this pertain to reptile laws?

I work in the office of California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and though I don't personally handle Animal legislation, I work directly with the people that do on an everyday basis! They come into the office and see me on Kingsnake all day long and know that I'm a huge snake fan. With that being the case I've got pull with the direct advisors over the Governor's stance on legislation, and though others can introduce bills and they may pass through the Assembly or Senate, the Governor has the final say, and I know the people who help him formulat his stance on issues.

That being said, Californian's you have a snake man on the inside and when and if anything comes up as a concern, I'll do everything under may power to help on the state level.

PS. I have no control on the local level...sorry!

Me sentiments exactly, slight stretch of the truth about being on Kingsnake all day, but lets just say I stay up on my forum activity
