Too many variables to give you a good answer. Some snake's venom may be more toxic than another's when measured one way, but not if measured another. Some snakes kill more people than others in a given portion of the world without being as venomous as others in the same area. Beyond lethal, what does it really matter?

The inland taipan is far beyond the rest though. But you are right, bites and deaths are nowhere near snakes in other parts of the world like sawscaled vipers or even tiger snakes in the same area.

The most venomous land snake is the fierce snake. In the ocean, it's the beaked seasnake.
