I havent been online in a few days, sorry. Anywho, Lola is ok, i guess. If we were in the ER i would say she is "stable". She is alot more active, but still pretty clumbsy. I moved her to a smaller enclosure so she is less likely to hurt herself. A few things have me worried, though. One, she is is not eating on her own. She has been hand fed since I bought her, but now, since she's been handled enough for a lifetime lately, she seems too afraid of my hand to eat and not fast enough to catch her food on her own. I've been force feeding her every other day. Another thing is that I think her lower tail is dead. It is not "prehensile" any more and has developed some blisters and black dents, like aomething was eating at it. It looks like it's rotting, i guess. It really compromises her ability to climb. The vet says she may have fell or something, but I think she has nerve damage from the surgery. Either way, we may have to have it amputated. I'm trying to support that vet's office by myself. haha. Thanks for checking up on us.

***no need to apologize, I was just checking in

***have you tried to cup feed her? Put some crix in a plastic container and either put it on the floor of the cage or attach to the screen with a bent paperclip, twist tie, etc. Maybe put a couple around and see where she is most comfortable feeding from.
Is she eating solid food at all? I wouldn't rush the crix, no real need to. Do you have any silkies or wax worms. The nice thing about silkies is that you can just put them on the branch and she can take it either with her tongue or with her mouth. Soft food may help to keep her food moving. What are you feeding her? Repta-aid? (sorry, don't recall...)

As for the tongue thing...can you post a picture? I don't know about this at all. I doubt she would get something like that from a fall plus she would probably pop her stitches! If it is dying you are risking infection. In the meantime, put some neosporin on it to try and stop further infection. Could she have burned somehow? Was it like this before the surgery? if not, you should make a point of bringing this to the vets attention. Sounds like he might be trying to avoid responsibility.

Considering what she went thru I would not expect her to bounce back to normal very quickly. So long as you are able to get some food in her and well hydrated (is she pooping?) I think she'll be OK...keep me posted!
