It looks so beautiful, especially the fog!

Have you considered putting that branch he's on in a horizontal position? That way, all of his body will receive equal heat and light. If his body and tail feel cold, he will stay close to the lights, even though his head might be burning.

actualy if you look at the light placement closely you can see that it directed to the horizontal branch mid ways up the big log. it is a zoo med basking spot so the light is pretty focused when he is on top of that big log he isn;t realy getting much heat at all.
