New acquisition, Those experienced with storri please look.

Yesterday I visited Pets Inc, a store I had not been to before. It's pretty decent for a pet store and I was surprised to see a V. storri for sale. It was nice looking and quite reasonably priced so I impulsively bought it. I was told it was about a year old, bred by someone named MacMurphy, who acquired his stock from Rare Earth. I think it looks female. She's about 9" TL.

It's temporairly in a Rubbermade tub with a few inches of damp aspen bedding and a couple pieces of plywood. I'll be setting up an enclosure for it this weekend. I plan on furnishing a 45 gallon Sterilite tub with some rocks and 10-12" of local dirt.

I have experience with acanthurus and assume the setup for storri should be the same. If you have any comments on all this, please post.
Thanks,
Neal

Beautiful little Storri! How interesting that you found one in a pet shop. Where I live you do not see many monitors at all in pet shops, mostly savs and niles. I have one male Storri, he is a little damaged (missing all toes on the front, a few on the back with a thermal burn to boot on his neck) so I didn't pay a lot for him. He is happy and healthy and eats like a horse. I have him set up just like my ackies. I'm sure you will enjoy yours! Good luck.
