Fake plants, HELP!!!

jrbl Oct 30, 2004 03:36 AM

Hi,
I have some iguana-like lizards and I want their enclosure to look nice. However, every time I put a real plant in there, they rip it up and eat it. So I figured the only way to go it fake. I have heard of "Silk Plants". Are these actually fake plants made from silk or is that just a brand name or something? I went into a craft store, but I really didn't like thier fake plants. Most of them were those kind on little plastic chains. Others looked like real plants, but they had that fake moss crap with them. I did see some of their plants that were called "Silk Plants", but it looked like a brand name. Are the plastic plants okay to get? Oh, at the craft store, they were charging outrageous prices for the fake plants. Maybe its just me, but $10 for a little chain of leaves is insane. Thanks for the help, jrbl

If your Iguana like lizards are eating your live plants and are anything like my Iguana chances are they'll try to and possibly eat anything that even remotely looks plant like fake or not.

Get a nice aquarium background for that plant like effect.

Hope this helps.
