Can you take a look at this?

I just got this little beauty yesterday. The mother is a Childreni. But the father is unknown. It could be a Maculosa or a childreni since both where present during breeding (accident). Is there anyone out there who can tell me if it is a mix or if it could be a true Childreni?

And by crikey how small they are.

Sorry- I don't have enough experience to tell you if it's true or a mix, however, it's a great looking hatchling! (my small python's are Stimson's)

You probably have to wait until it is older to see if it retains a bold pattern or fades (or somewhere in between).

It looks like a baby children's, but if it wasn't, and it retained that color and patern, it would be very cool. It's a great looking snake.

Cat,

I have been going over to your site a few times the last two weeks. I am totally in awe by you normal spotted. Your website is a great source btw. I could probably never have such a huge collection in my life. Can you point out what makes you think it is definatly a cross?

thanks!

I looked at the very dark spots. Most Children's pythons, like the ones posted by Kestrel below, have smaller, lighter colored spots compared to spotted pythons. Spotted pythons also have a somewhat different head shape and eye placement. Yours has the spots of a spotted and the head shape of a Children's.
