a bit young yes.
but form all I have read / heard etc...
each dragon will vary in how it responds to the seasonal chnages. some take 2 years to go into burm. some do it on year one. some just get lazy for a few weeks. others have been said to go out like they are half dead for months.
I suspect that some of what we see are how we keep our homes and or dragon habitat. for example in the wild a dragon can find a hole to get into and a good hole may be much cooler than the average temp in our homes. that plus normal chnages in light and humidity each play a factor.
and in our homes we tend to feed the dragons well and give them the heat and light to grow very well in year 1. I think in the wild a dragon would have to work more to get full size in the first year, perhaps our dragons get so much growth the signal to go sleep kicks in sooner that in the wild sometimes?
just some ideas on why we see some go down fast and others slow and so on...
