Very nice mocquardi. She has a lot of yellow. Really big too. How many eggs? Any close-ups of the eggs and/or babies?

I imagine mocquardi eggs look much the same

Here is a picture of one of the babies while still in the incubator with the other eggs. She laid 14 eggs but 5 were bad. The male I bred here with this year was small and young so I hope next year when he is a little more mature physically she will lay a healthier clutch. The male is a nice light yellow but also has very bold bowtie like black markings for a mocquardi which is why I was in a hurry to use him to breed with her this year. Hopefully next year she will have a large and healthy clutch with his assistance. Catch you later, Randy Whittington

Randy, that's a nice looking little one. They look a lot like t. taeniura when born and the eggs look a lot alike too. I think mocquardi is the closest ssps to taeniura, they have lots in common. But the mocquardi sure has lots more yellow.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to make Daytona again next summer. IHS is in Phoenix in August and we'll be taking our annual two wk. vacation to AZ then. If we can work the times out I'll try to make both trips.

BTW, I'm thinking about getting out of the situla. I might have some stuff you'd be interested in. Let's talk this week
