What are the chances of getting a pair when buying young cresteds?

apexgecko Oct 31, 2004 08:38 AM

I see so many beautiful little guys online for sale, but their sex cannot be determined. I really want to get a few but I want to end up having more females than males.

How many do I have to buy to ensure myself that I will get at least 1 male and 2 females or all females?

Thanks,

Lu

You're playing the odds - there's no one right answer. You've got a 50/50 chance each crested you buy is a female.

i agree with tiger, you have a few choices. buy a bunch of babies and wait 6 months or so. buy females and pay more for them.
