Switched to a 10 gallon to a 96 quart Sterilite...

nomadofthehills Oct 31, 2004 10:33 AM

Topic ^^^^

My guy was born in July, got him on Oct. 11th. He is a normal, and hasn't eaten since I have had him. His temps are fine and so is the humididty, so I am hoping the switch will make the difernce, it has like 4 hides and fakes leaves and rocks, on paper towel subbstrate.

Any thoughts? DOes this sound good? Anyone ever had switching to a larger/ different tank had any luck with feeding response? Thanks

I have a Huge rack system where I use them.
My ball pythons do excellent in them. Good choice!

I bought 5 cases from a local walmart.

You will have better luck getting it to eat if you put it in something smaller. Try a shoe box sized Sterilite until its eating well.

96 is fine! Make sure you have a hide for it.

That will be fine!

96 is not a very bright idea at all. As of now I have 24 04's from 150 grams - 600 grams in shoebox size bins (16" x 6" x 8".

They are ALL eating.

We have seen smaller animals go off feed numerous times in the past when moved to bigger bins.

LOL what? A baby ball dont need a 96 quart tub, and if it isn't eating, a smaller enclosure would be better.

You probably give the best advice around here and everyone seems to like to contradict the hell out of you and alot of people give some horrible info against yours.....lol....I guess its just cause you are more blunt about it..but thats how it should be....
Its fun seeing what people will bring up to disprove your advice though....lmao

I think Chad is trying to prove a valid point. No one really uses this forum to their advantage. The search option is great. If you don't find your answer there..try different wording. It probably is in there. Now as far as Chad.......hmmmmmm mmmmmmmmm

bachman Nov 01, 2004 03:16 PM

Thankyou, now I don't feel so bad.
