Heating question.

iluvblackfrancis Oct 31, 2004 12:08 PM

I have an outdoor shed where I keep all my reptiles. The shed has electricity, so heating was no problem over the summer. Now that it's becoming winter, I'm wondering if they'll be ok. I live in Southern California, so it doesn't get too cold, and my burm also has an under tank heater on one side. Will he be ok?

If you need to use a heater, try using an electric, oil filled radiator heater. I usung on for my snakes right now. It can be set to a wide range of temps and seems to be very safe while providing a nice even temp. I've found out the hard way the room temp greatly effects the cage temp.

You might consider giving Bob Pound at Pro Products a call to talk about his radiant heat panels. Not only are they one of the best heating methods for inside of cages, but they can also be used to heat buildings.....fantastic and very cost efficient product.
