housing questions

I am being given a 250 gal tank.(6ftx30inx30in) Would this be suitable for a pair of Beardies? I know you shouldn't keep males together, but would two females be okay? Also, I'd like to create a "natural" looking environment when I set this up, is it safe to use landscaping rocks as long as they are clean prior to use and stable in the tank? Is there any way to keep live plants in the tank as well? Thanks for any input.

Wow, lucky you. With multiple basking spots it's definitely large enough for 2, now you just have to find 2 that get along all the time. www.beautifuldragons.com has a list of beardie friendly plants but they will probably eat them lol. As long as the rocks are clean and stable you could give it a shot, bugs will hide in the cracks though so you might want to seal any that you have. Make sure you post a pic when you're done with it.

thanks for the advice i tend to be an "over-planner" so it probably won't even get started for at least a year...but if you're still around here you'll be sure to see it.
