First sometimes I notice a bump in my Americian toads throat, it looks like it has water in there, its squishy to the touch and goes away pretty quick. I don't really think its a problem because he gets it quite a bit, I just wanted to know if anyone knows what it is.

Second, Is there any safe way to have my toad hibernate for the winter. Such as putting his terrarium in an unheated room? Is this possible. If it is what steps should I follow to make sure my little guy stays safe? Thanks!
