Like the bairds in Mrs. Bairds bread.
or like the word "bear" with a d and an s on the end.
or like the grammatically incorrect past tense of the verb to bear ("beared"
with an s.
I believe that is how Spencer Fullerton Baird would have pronounced it. Since I think it is named after him, I guess he would get the last say!
