I'm going to get a bearded dragon sometime within the next month hopefully if i find my escaped snake... but I'd like to know if there is a difference between how males and females act. I think I'd like to get a male, but I will go for whichever is calmer, which I'd bet is the female.

In my experience they're about the same. Males tend to go through a stage at sexual maturity where they get a little ballsy but it calms down pretty quick and I've seen females do the same thing.
