Provent-a-mite?

JM Nov 01, 2004 10:18 AM

Another question already. I was getting ready to treat him for mites just like I would a new snake~ but he's not a snake~ should I do anything differently because he is a lizard?

I don't see any ticks or mites on him~ but for new snakes I routinely spray quarintine tanks with provent-a-mite and spray the snake with reptile relief (once a week at least during quarintine)~ and make a visual inspection for ticks~ just in case. Is this needed for him? Is provent-a-mite a safe product to use on him? How about reptile releif? Is there a better option available that I have not considered?

Thanks!

If I do not see them I do not treat them. I do not like to try and fix something that is not broken.
