African Fat Tailed Gecko??

pdm Nov 01, 2004 10:19 AM

I was in the pet store the other day & saw an African fat tailed Gecko & am now considering getting one after I complete my research on them.

1) Are they a hardy lizard?

2) Do they tend to get stressed when handled or are they more like bearded dragons in the fact that they dont mind human interaction?

Thanks,

PDM

Captive Born are very calm. They are nocturnal. Hardy??? They are the same or slightly more delicate then Leopard Gecko's.

Thank you for the info. I have one last question. I do not have the means to have an under the tank heater. Is an above heat bulb enough source of heat for these guys? I read the cage only has to be about 85 degrees & that can easily be obtained via a heat bulb.

Thanks,

PDM
