Lighting

aliaime Nov 01, 2004 11:30 AM

I constantly read that sunlight is the best common source of lighting for a Bp. Is that correct? Will placing a tank next to a window harm the snake?

I wouldnt place the tank near a window because a window allows heat and cold to pass through the glass pretty eaisily and because the weather in the US isnt like that in Africa, I wouldnt take the risk. Lighting isnt nearly as important for bps as it is with many other reptiles. I dont provide my snake with any source of light besides the light that comes from my bedroom.
