The PetCo around here opened up today. They had little baby leos. They had like 4 or 5 in a 10 gallon or so. There was only one hiding area for them and they were all in it and it was cut in half and against the glass so you could see them. They had an albino one in there. I might get that one. They are only $19.99
All the cages for the snakes and other herps looked OK, like they only had one animal in a cage. Except the veiled chameleon cage was only 50 F. But they didnt have one in there (I asked).
They also lock up their feeder mice, because everyone knows I go to PetCo to steal 2 $0.99 feeder mice. They also tried to give me a care sheet on the mice, and tell me the name of their vet and tell me I can return them in 15 days and stuff. I told her they are going to be fed to a snake, but I thought that is nice to do for the animals. They also sold garter snakes, which is a native species, and I thought that was illegal in PA. Maybe they are different kind than here.
Unfortunately, I sold out and got a PetCo Pals card to save $1.20 on mice.

Why doesn't kingsnake have auto login?

Yeah that's the same with my Petco. They have Tremper and tremper albino's for $20 and I really want to get another leo geck.

if you tell my petco that the mouse is for a snake, they won't sell it to you. I asked one of the ladies that works there how they know if you don't say anything, and she said if you come in and buy mice all the time, they eventually cut you off. You believe that! they sell, pythons, but you can't buy anything to feed 'em but frozen pinkies!

I don't know if they are trempers or what, I just know they are albino. And they got a cool one that is kinda gray and brown with a weird pattern.
Yeah I noticed they are sold as "common" mice not "feeder". She did tell me they sold frozen, and I told her I was trying to switch it but it didn't take dead last time and I wanted to feed it since I haven't for like two weeks (I had apparently sold it but I think the buyer tried to scam me. I'd like to switch it though. The lady there told me she had a snake too. If they cut me off, I'll just take my mouse business elsewhere.

Why doesn't kingsnake have auto login?

yeah great geckos can be had at petco if you keep your eye out for them. my advice it to find out when their gecko shipments come in and go that day for the best pickings..

In regards to the mice( i know its off topic),
they cannot cut you off from buying mice. they are called common mice cause its what they are a common white mouse.. you don't think they sell 100 of these mice a week as pets do you.. complain to the store manager about it.. if you write a complaint to the corporate headquarters, the complaint WILL travel back down to the individiaul store. (this is a customer service issue not a companion animal issue). There is also NO store policy on not selling live mice as feeders. Really what it comes down to is the $$. Ask the manager, do you want my business or not. you can make a really big stink in the store and you can usually get your way.. that goes for ANY retail establishment.

In reality if at all possible , do try to convert over to frozen.

They just opened today so thats prolly why they had them. I stopped back after I worked a massive 4 hours tonight and there are more? There are 2 albinoes, and they have a half log too, maybe i missed that earlier.

PetCo is the only place we can get live mice at.

When my brother had a snake we always went there 1 time a week (together) to go get a mouse for it.

They never said anything because that's where we got it from and they're like don't buy one from the display. We keep the fat ones for our snakes in back. Then they'd go in the back and get one fat one for us.

I'd really like to know when PetCo gets their leo geck shipments in. Then I'd go pick one out and be like hey these are really neat ones, and I'm gonna get one.

I'll never tell, you will buy my albino! Just kidding. It is where the Richland Mall used to be. There is a new shopping center up there with a huge WalMart supercenter. It is in that lot back by Circuit City. If you don't know where the mall used to be, I can give you directions.

Well at least you know you are getting a healthy mouse. We have a few pet stores around here that sell feeder mice, fish, and crickets. You gotta look a little harder for worms though.. We also got a new Petco, I guess they are expanding.

OK, this is really off topic, but it could apply to leo's if you were gonna feed them pinkies. I emailed them about if there was a policy on mice as food. They replied:
"It is true that we will not sell fancy mice or rats for food. These animals have been bred as pets, and are not to be considered food.

We do though, sell feeder mice and rats that are intended and bred for food. Your store should also have the feeder animals for you to purchase. You would not be stopped from purchasing feeder animals for reptile food."

i doubt you will get live pinkies from petco, you never know....most likely the resident reptile person will snatch them up for the snakes at the store..hehe...thats what i used to do.. live pinkies are not an easy thing to keep on hand in the store.. live pinkies have no SKU number so how can they be rung up..

I dunno, I was just trying to justify keep posting it in Leo forum since it started here.
