No poop for 6 days???

boidsntegus Nov 01, 2004 05:48 PM

Hi, I got a beardie last Tuesday, so I have had him for 6 days but no poop. I looked and smelled EVERYWHERE in the cage for poop, but there was none. Since I have gotten him he has eaten several crickets, a few superworms, and I can't be 100% sure, but I think he nibbled on his collard greens a little bit a couple days. Here's the setup and details:

4-5 months old
55G
Sand substrate (I do not feed inside the enclosure)
100W powersun MVB bulb
basking=110, middle=88, cool=78
Mist his head once a day
Dusted crix and supers (only a few supers)

Hope this is enough info for somebody to help me out. I'm not too worried, he is probably just getting acclimated to the new home, but I though these guys pooped each day. I tried soaking him in some water, but he HATED it. I may try again tonight anyway. Maybe I'm just being paranoid, but better to check. I got him from a reliable breeder, and he is in great shape. What do you guys think?

I first put her in the tub if it's been a while. Usually if I keep my hand there and just start with her tail, then hind legs, then slide her gently off my hand altogether it works better than the splash and dash method.

She may also go close to a week w/o pooping if I don't bath her, which is why I try to do it at least twice a week (when she's not brumating like she is now).
