I hate using newspaper. The print gets on the snake and looks like crap. With that said aspen is the best i have found and i believe the snakes enjoy it as well. The only thing is feeding. I remove my snakes and feed in a separate container. I place the snake on paper towel during feeding. This way i don't worry about the snake eating some of the aspen.
