I was NOT trying to reopen the sand/ no sand debate again. I speak from experience as well, and so far, have not had any impactions. I respect your choice to use tile. I was just saying, tongue-in-cheek, that you seem to express that preference in mopst of your posts. That's all.

HAHA, me neither, if you were to open a post like that it would be longest posts on this board and get deleted. I am just saying, i have had a lot of expierence with sand and other substrates i only mention tile because in my opinion IT IS THE BEST. I just want to express my expierences so people dont have to go through a lot to get a healthy gecko. Plus i'd be safe with tile than sorry for using sand. But do you agree with me on that calcium sand is definently a NO!!!!!!!!!

not sure how much experience you have (did you say you've had 13 gex?) but i'm guessing it's about the same as me. And I currently have 3 gex on calci-sand. One's been on there since I rehabbed her as a rescue 1 1/2 years ago, and she's a porker. like 70 grams! One's been on it since I got him this spring, and the other is sub adult I just switched from paper towels. I use a mixture of that jungle earth stuff and calci sand in two other tanks (w/plants) Never had a problem. Don't usually recommend it for others, though, mainly 'cause I don't want to hear from the likes of you. j/k
