is there a problem with one of my eggs?

ReptiKH24 Jun 29, 2003 09:52 PM

ok, yesterday morning my female laid her 1st clutch. So today i check on them and 1 of them seems to have a yellowish tint on the shell while the other one is just a solid white. Also there are pieces of paper towel stuck to them because they were laid on the paper towel and it was to ticky to take it apart. I cut the paper towel to just a small piece but they are wet so can this cause a problem.

the yellow one is probably infertile. is it rubbery feeling? if so, ya, its infertile. i don't think the paper towel will hurt it.

your head will collapse, but there's nothing in it, and you'll ask yourself, "where is my mind"

Sounds like the ellow one is infertile and the other is good. This is not as uncommon as you might think.

I'd incubate and candle after a few days and look for signs of a pinkish area or red veins showing up.
