how old do Green tree pythons need to be before they breed? I've heard 3years old but if fed well can they breed sooner. Also whats the average clutch size for a first time female?

3 years would be pushing it for a female. Males could probably breed at 2 years if they had enough size, which at that age would be about 300-450 grams if they continued to feed well.

Females on the other hand, should not be bred any sooner than 3 years. My females were just hitting the 1000 gram mark at 3.5 years old, and that is the recommended minimum weight.

I had a WC Jaya type female lay her first clutch in the 04 season, which consisted of 19 fertile eggs. I'm guessing she is around 5-6 years old judging by her size when she was imported. I've had her since 01. First clutches could range from 8-30 eggs. It depends on the female.
